These works take Influence from abstract painters who were inspired by ancient culture, to create abstract works which mirror thoughts while taking the ‘Urban Abstraction Macro Photographs’.

Made from found objects, series’ of works emerge which are revisited time and again, in a self perpetuating motion. Where experience generates ideas, which are entertained artistically to make meaningful things, that reflect a journey within a lifetime. Aware of cultural appropriation within western art style has influenced an exploration of the self through emotion and imagination.

To contmplate our use of the natural resources - is a Piece of wood, just a piece of wood?. Or was it a tree from a Previous Life!. To Simplify further our Urban Landscapes to understand (things like): Stone, Wood and Metal‘ being our Human Landscape’ and part of our complex culture.

After my Father’s passing - early in 2022. I took a sebbatical from the art world, to reflect upon how the loss of a parent affects you as an adult living beyond them with your memories - revisiting thoughts and experiences which connect you to them.

I made this piece below for myself - to relive a happy memory of my father Micheal on the beach at Mount Bay (every time I see it); marvelling at the moonlight reflecting over the sea, as it lite up the midnight sky, the waves crashing to a wall of sound. Looking out towards St. Michael’s Mount, in Cornwall, UK.

The Artworks below take from ‘ideas’ surrounding some of the founding theories regarding ‘Entropy’, from every day things - exposed to the Natural Elements over a Long Period of Time
- to delve below the surface and appreciate the many layers we do not often get to see.

To contemplate Weather Impaction and Human Interaction - explored and captured within my Contemporary Fine Art Macro Photographs and explored further through these Constructs,
to celebrate - with eye pleasing colour, texture and composition from the living environment.
